Eco Natural Clear Soap Base - PEG, EDTA and MPG Free

About this product

This clear melt and pour base is made with high glycerin, plant-derived cleansers and is ideal for natural and clean-label soap brands. In practice, it avoids PEGs, EDTA and propylene glycol, so your ingredient list stays short and clean. It arrives fully saponified, so there is no lye to handle - you simply melt, add colour and fragrance, pour and unmould.

How to use

1. Cut the base into small cubes for even melting.
2. Melt in a double boiler or in 30-second microwave bursts. Do not let it boil.
3. At around 60 °C stir in colour, then fragrance oil (up to 2%) or essential oil (0.5 - 1%).
4. Spritz the mould with rubbing alcohol, pour, and spritz the surface to pop bubbles.
5. Unmould after 2 - 4 hours and wrap in shrink film to keep the bars fresh.

Good to know

For hot and humid weather, wrap finished bars within a few hours to prevent glycerin dew. Store the block sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct sun.
